The numbers that matter
- Base 5★ rate: **2.0%**
- Hard pity: **300 pulls**
- Soft pity starts at: **pull 50**
- After soft pity, each pull adds **+2%** to the 5★ rate
- Featured banner: **50/50** — lose it once, the next 5★ is guaranteed featured
What this means for your pulls
Soft pity is where most 5★ actually drop: from pull 50 onward the rate climbs sharply, so the realistic pull window is around 50-300. Saving exactly to hard pity is almost never necessary — budget for the ~75-pull average instead.
Pity carries over
Pity on the same banner type carries over between banners. You can let a banner expire with 70 pity banked and the next banner keeps counting from 70. This is why checking your pity before pulling matters — you may be closer than you think.
