Blue Archive 50/50 Explained β Winning, Losing, and Guarantees
How the 50/50 works
On a limited character banner in Blue Archive, every 5β has a 50% chance to be the featured character and 50% to be a standard-banner character. When you lose, the next 5β on that banner type is guaranteed to be featured β this is called the guarantee, or "倧δΏεΊ" in Chinese communities.
Strategy around it
- **Check your status before pulling**: if you're on guarantee, every 5β you see is your target β pull freely.
- **If you're on 50/50**, decide in advance whether you'll commit to the guarantee if you lose. Half-committing wastes pulls.
- **Pity carries over, the 50/50 guarantee carries over too** β losing the 50/50 on one banner keeps your guarantee for the next banner of the same type.
The math
Across many pulls, about 75% of players get their target within 180 pulls (90 + 90 worst case). Budgeting 160-180 pulls for a must-have character removes most of the variance from your plan.
